“During 1990 and 1991, I visited many different islands in the Caribbean in search of my personal paradise, a location I could strongly identify myself with and make my second home. In 1992, in the south of St. Lucia I finally found what I had been searching for: ANSE CHASTANET.
Away from any mass tourism and amidst an immense lush tropical estate where the rainforest borders on picturesque bays with crystal clear water, the Russian-Canadian architect Nick Troubetzkoy has successfully created an environment in which architecture, art and the surrounding nature are all in harmony with each other.
Together with his wife Karolin, Nick Troubetzkoy continues the creative progress of ANSE CHASTANET, part of which is the growing collection of local and international art which eventually will be complemented by the creation of a unique sculpture park in the heart of the tropical estate.
ANSE CHASTANET’s location is one of those few magical places on earth with wonderful people, strong light, intensive colours, scents and sounds a place for total physical and spiritual regeneration.
For me, it is an eternal source of stimulation and joie de vivre.”
