Stefan Szczesny created the first series of “Painting on photography” in the year 1985. The photo works of Stefan Szczesny are a development of paintings using other materials. With the artist’s eye he photographs the motives with the view of a later pictorial completion. As a result he creates a painting which shows a dialog between the reality (photo) and the forms and colours of the pictorial imagination of the artist. The exhibition shows selected works from the last years.
