Stefan Szczesny & Paris - UNESCO

Since 2020, Stefan Szczesny has been working on a major project – “#Art4GlobalGoals” – sponsored by UNESCO. He is responsible for representing the UN’s “17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” on canvas and sail. This event, realised in collaboration with Geuer & Geuer Art and the YOU Foundation (Düsseldorf), is accompanied by an exhibition tour around the world until 2030 and the Sailing Art project – a regatta tour of 17 yachts with sails designed by Stefan Szczesny.

The regatta started on 22 August 2021 in Monheim and then in Düsseldorf, Germany. An exhibition of the preparatory drawings and paintings was held at the Ludwig Museum in Koblenz from September to November 2021. A limited edition of the 17 sails, created in collaboration with Galerie Geuer & Geuer and Artstar Verlag (Düsseldorf), is exhibited at the Village des Voiles de Saint-Tropez from 25 September to 9 October 2021.

From 8 to 13 June, the sails and the paintings for the “#Art4GlobalGoals” project are exhibited at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
